During the Middle Ages, the pentagram denoted the five wounds of Jesus Christ and the five senses of humanity.  During the Renaissance, the pentagram took on more of a connection to wider varied collection of magic and religious practices.  In more modern times, it has become a generic symbol of modern magic.  Despite wide spread connection to per-Christian pagan traditions, the pentagram has become the symbol of the modern pagan and Wiccan movements.

Etched into a 30mm pendant of silver-tone 304 stainless steel.
