My name is A.J. Drew. I continued to forge and make knives after losing both legs. I loved performing my trade in front of young folk. I felt it sent a message that adversity is something to overcome. I continue to promote that spirit and share it with my fellow veterans.
Unfortunately, my forging days went on hold after falling threw my landlord's rotted wood deck. My left knee, left arm, and left prosthetic were damaged. Two years later and I am still stuck in a wheel chair. Although I still can not stand or walk, with the help of the VA I can fly.
