Egyptian Dieties (Antiqued red copper tone)

Each antiqued & distressed red copper tone pendants measure 32 mm by 18 mm.  Each is engraved with the name and image of the Egyptian deity selected.  Obviously they were not found in a tomb, but they have been made to look it.

Anubis - Anubis is the jackel headed Egyptian god who oversees the ancient Egyptian version of judgement day.  On that day, the person is measured by their heart vs. a feather.  His title is "guardian of the scales".  If he judges a soul's heart to be heavier than a feather, he escorts that soul to its place in the underworld.

Bast / Bastet - Bastet is an the ancient Egyptian goddess of home, domesticity, women's secrets, cats, fertility, and childbirth.  She is the daughter of Ra and Isis, but she is sometimes portrayed as part of Ra.  She is sometimes called the Eye of Ra.

Hathor - Hathor is most often considered the mother of Ra and Horus.  However, she is variously listed as their consort.  Perhaps it is due to a bad translation.  She is the ancient Egyptian goddess of motherhood, love, and fertility,

Horus - Horus is the ancient Egyptian sky god with a falcon's head.  He is the son of son of Osiris and Isis.  He is associated with order, kingship, protection, and vengeance.

Isis - Isis (Aset) was a major goddess in ancient Egypt.  She is considered a goddess of healing, motherhood, fertilitu and magic.  She is the daughter of Geb and Nut, wife of Osiris and mother of Horus.

Nut - Nut (pronounced "newt") is the ancient Egyptian goddess of the night sky.  Nut symbolized protection and rebirth,   Every night promises the day will be reborn.

Ra - King of the gods and patron of pharaohs, Ra (or Re) is the supreme god of the ancient Egyptian pantheon  During the day, the sun god traversed the sky.  His nights are spent battling the serpent Apep in the underworld.

Geb - Geb is the son of god Shu (air) and goddess Tefnut (moisture).  He overseas fertility of the earth, especially the fertility of vegetation.

Seth / Set -  Seth is the ancient god of chaos, discord, and disorder.  He is the dessert and dessert storms.  He is brother to Osiris and Isis.  For killing his brother Osiris, Seth is associated Cain from the Book of Genesis.
